The following is the press release announcing the move of Zipper Motors to Utah:
Zipper Motors is on the move
Zipper Motors was founded by Darrell Zipp in 1986 as a full service street rod shop. The “Lakes Modified” styling blending Hi-tech suspension components has evolved into three truly unique “Lakes Modified” offerings; the “27” Roadster, the “New” Roadster, and the Coupe.
Zipper Motors has completed a move of manufacturing from Grand Junction, Colorado to Farmington, Utah. Darrel Zipp has transferred the company to Jeremy and Duane Palmer (formerly Beehive Hot Rods). They have been working with Darrell for the past few years building turn key Zippers and the past year working and training at Zipper Motors. Thirty years of Zipper quality and innovation will continue and there will be improvements in availability and lead time. Darrell remains involved providing improvements to the current line-up, development of new ideas and years of expertise.
An entry level “Fabricator Package” and an intermediate “Good Start Package” are offered as well as new suspension packages. Zipper Motors will continue to offer “Turn Key” builds on any of the Lakes Modified platforms.
